A série BG4 é uma linha de SSDs NVMe™ compactos de pacote único com capacidades de até 1.024 GB, e aproveita uma interface PCIe® Gen3 x4 e o TLC BiCS FLASH™ de 96 camadas da KIOXIA. Com maior largura de banda e melhor gerenciamento de flash e tecnologia Buffer de Memória Host (HMB), os SSDs BG4 oferecem o melhor desempenho de leitura do setor em SSDs de pacote único, de até 2.300MB/s (leitura sequencial) e até IOPs de 390K (leitura aleatória), com consumo de energia ativa de até 3.7W (Normalmente).
A série BG4 está disponível em quatro capacidades de 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB e 1.024 GB em módulos M.2 1620 montados na superfície ou em módulos removíveis M.2 2230, tornando-os adequados para projetos de sistemas finos e leves para PCs finos, bem como dispositivos incorporados e inicialização de servidores em data centers.
A série BG4 tem a opção de um modelo da unidade Self-Encrypting (SED) que suporta TCG Opal Versão 2.01.
