Trusted Computing Group Honors KIOXIA’s Hiroshi Isozaki for Contributions to Standards Development
Storage Work Group Efforts Focused on SSD Security, Encryption for Client and Data Center Environments
SAN JOSE, Calif., December 18, 2019 – The drive to secure and protect data in PCs and data centers shows no signs of slowing down, and KIOXIA continues to lead the way when it comes to SSD security. KIOXIA America, Inc. (formerly Toshiba Memory America, Inc.) today announced that Hiroshi Isozaki, chief specialist for KIOXIA Corporation, has been honored by the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) for his contributions to security and encryption standards.
An active member of the TCG Storage Work Group, Isozaki was recognized for his technical expertise and efforts surrounding TCG storage-related specifications, including TCG Pyrite 2.0, TCG Ruby SSC, the TCG Configurable Namespace Locking feature set, and TCG Opal Family Test Cases. The TCG Key Contributor Awards are presented annually to individuals that make exceptional contributions toward various TCG projects. Isozaki brings over 20 years of information security experience to KIOXIA Corporation.
TCG’s Storage Work Group focuses on standards for security services on dedicated storage systems, and aims to develop standards and practices that define the same security services across dedicated storage controller interfaces. “We would like to congratulate and say thank you to Hiroshi for his longstanding participation in TCG, and his contributions to the development of a number of TCG storage-related specifications,” said Dr. Joerg Borchert, president and chairman of TCG. “Hiroshi has made a real impact by sharing his wealth of knowledge on information security, which has enabled the development of new specifications – including the Ruby SSC.”
