SSD NVMe™ de cliente

La serie XG8 utiliza la memoria flash 3D de 3 bits por celda (TLC) de 112 capas más nueva de KIOXIA. Con BiCS FLASH™ de 5a generación y caché de SLC, las unidades SSD XG8 alcanzan velocidades de lectura y escritura secuenciales de 7.000 MB/s y 5.800 MB/s, respectivamente, y generan hasta 900.000 entradas/salidas por segundo (IOPS) de lectura aleatoria 620.000 IOPS de escritura aleatoria. El consumo de energía de la serie XG8 es de 8,1 W o menos en modo activo y menos de 3 mW en modo de espera.

La nueva serie XG8 está optimizada para las computadoras móviles sensibles a la fluctuación de energía, las computadoras para juegos orientados al rendimiento y los entornos de centros de datos para arranque de servidores, almacenamiento en caché y generación de registros.

Además de estar disponible con un factor de forma M.2 2280 compacto de una cara, la serie XG8 se ofrece en tres modelos de capacidad de 512 GB, 1024 GB, 2048 GB, y 4096 GB cada uno de los cuales cuenta con la opción de un modelo de unidad con autocifrado (SED) compatible con Opal de TCG versión 2.01.
